THE GOOD WAR ON TERROR - WRITTEN BY CHRISTOPHER HAYES
Comics adaptation of an essay written by Christopher Hayes, The Good War on Terror examines the unique political climate of the late 1990's, the "end of history" era, when it seemed like there were no more great challenges and the US was a country without a sense of national purpose. By looking at the pop culture of that era, particularly the movie, Saving Private Ryan, the essay suggests that longing for purpose was the genesis for much of what occurred later during the War on Terror.
